Well, Kusari Destroyer is very popular. But since it's found in DC's Tohoku and LP's Daedalus, I'd advise you ask them before purchase. Or not, whichever you find more fun. As for battleships, Osiris is pretty popular. And Reliant, though it has a blind spot in it's underbelly (at least I think, that's what others say).

Well, IMO the capital ships are partially handleable, if you're lucky. You might have more luck in a Destroyer (when considering gun count and maneuverability), but overall - the heavy armor doesn't really protect you all that much...The lack of thrusters can easily proove deadly. Bottom line - you should take the time to try it, maybe your experience differs from mine...
