Not sure what this had to do with it, but after trying everything I could think of, I rebooted into safe mode and ran it from there. Ran great without a hitch and everything works as it should. Wow, what a relief. If you have Vista you may try installing Crossfire in safe-mode, then you can boot back to normally windows and everything works.
