to add to what Diablo said, When you exit the game using Alt-F4 , for cases when theres red lag, the game exits immediately and freelancer terminates correctly. With normal exit, you cannot re-launch the game until Freelancer.exe has been released from memory 0x0 otherwise you get Error code returning in Launcher.
