The Coalition bribe, which Spiky mentioned, is very important. If you forget the bribe and go to Altair you will be attacked by the Coalition. (here's the important bit) If you fire on the Coalition then you will Not be able to get the Coalition bribe with that char. That no bribe char will be virtually useless in Altair.
