K so last night I was playing fine on the CF server and now I cant connect at all. It doesnt even show attempt of trying to connect, only says sorry but the server is either offline or check if your connection is working. Yet I see that there is 11 players online and that im getting a refresh rating on my ping constantly. Well I tried the patch this morning, didn't work. So I then looked at uninstalling, deleting registry, reinstalling (the clean type I know it so well now lol) and it still says the same! There is nothing wrong with my installation i play single player fine. Thats all fine and dandy but I cant even get to the character selection screen let alone connect. I dont know if making a new Profile IP ID will work but ill try. in the mean time im going out to the movies.

I played CF on vista the whole time I doubt its that....

AVG ...always has been think it might be some protection against the network?

Very well I will test it right now EDIT: Like OP said in the same post in swat thread, Vista in combination with the virus scanner was the problem. I uninstalled AVG and restarted the pc now CF works fine.However I dont want to go with no anti-virus just so I can play CF....is there no work around this problem?
