I agree that displaying the ship type of the player online is more information than is needed, even though I personally don't care about that information. And only those who have developed or have access to a catalog of CF ships will be able to identify them in most cases, since most ships are only identified by a number. Either way, it would be better for players to discover in-game what others are doing, by making a bit of RP, in my opinion.
