sometimes hard disks are surprisingly resistant... once dry id bring the disk to the repair guy and ask him to check it and determine if some data is still recoverable you can check it by yourself by using a external hard disk case (like an external hard disk but without disk...). you should be able to get one for 15-20 euro good luck
