u need to use 'run as an administrator' everytime u do something with the game, instalation or anything similar. it can be found on the right click list of options, when u right click on executable. vista has big issues with admin permissions, since even default admin accounts do not have all the required permissions, especially folder and file ones. vista sux bigtime!

dropping out of the game without a concrete reason, while still having executable processes running, seems like a latency trouble. read here.
