the fluct value shown by the "/ping" command is the average between current ping and last ping over a time interval... the ping value shown in that command is the average value over that same time period. fluct is mainly showing if ur connection is kind of stable in ping and has no times with high ping followed by times of low ping. to have no loss is definitely more important than to have less fluct..
