you guys are right it is simply my opinion i never said it would happen nor do i wish that at all.I am only talking out of experience with this sorta thing, i'm basically just trying to say that people should not worry either way because if such things ever happened it would be for the best of the mod i would imagine:D again i am in the dark as much as the next player.I just love this bloody mod and have seen what its like without any crashes and it is absolutely fantastic,So anyone who may be new i say this, these things happen all the time with mods and patience is a virtue we are lucky that this team is always on top of things to ensure the least amount of problems possible.And that is not something i would say about just any mod.

More than likely when the new version comes out there will be a character wipe anyway i would assume,but i could be wrong:) So people should prepare themselves for that day,either way

This is sad news indeed , i hope all is well when my 70% DL is almost done i cant believe i am doing everything over again because of an old thread lol.

Oh great and my girlfriend tells me i need the new version or my account will be banned so what do i do without checking date of posts on this thread myself i delete everything and start over again now im downloading the same damn version i had:( cmon .............

just to verify im getting crossfire 1.81 right? i didnt see any new dl, did you just update the download thats already there?

Im happy to report that myself and about 6 others have been able to play for more than 20 mins without crash

hey aceguard i know its not you crashing the server cuz it crashes when your not on too for last 2 days it has been doing this constantly.everyone at some point has probably thought it was something with there character.....but now i can see it has been so many crashes it doesnt matter whos logged in or not,its just happening.I do want to say though dont let this discourage any new players into not playing this great mod .I myself was new maybe less than a month ago and i can say the server has ran so smooth until last couple days.So hang in there everyone.:D

well im giving up for now myself i have faith that Op will figure out what all this is and i hope to be playing later on:D

ive also experienced the server crash every time i log in im playing for about 3 mins tops and it crashes....i dont know how to mod freelancer and this is just a suggestion ,but i think one of the problems could be with the removal of the gmg supergate faction from the faction list,at least i no longer see the faction in the list but aparrently the gate is still gmg supergate greenys and i am still tagged as one,could it be with this removal of that faction that maybe players that had the same problem as me and it crashes the server when they log in? ( refer to gmg supergate topic in general discussion)

thats a great idea too vishnu.you may be right ill have to check it out but i did take missions at the gate station and failed them on purpose.the firing on backup idea is good though.i noticed there was no backup missions though at the station.ill try the dervon base and see tnx again all of you for your help never have i seen such quick responses

i would also like to point out that because im tagged as gmg Like the supergate is....i now appear red to anyone who hasnt killed ancients,so i keep getting the question are you a pirate?i have to explain im gmg.lol,there is no way to change out of this rep either because once you lose affiliation with everything else you cant be anything else except of course .... the GMG GATE Greenys

lol ok again its simple guys,,,, THE DK LOVE ME, as much as they are going to the problem is with gmg supergate,the gmg supergate also is green with me but I cant lose the rep with the gmg supergate for the life of me i have fired at 100 ancients and it does not change the supergate rep except to green,HOW DO I MAKE IT RED:) plze plze plze anyone,,,,also i have killed hundreds of aliens in inner core,, i have seen players tagged as dk and would like to know how.i appreciate your comments folks but really unless there is some way to change my stance with gate neutral it will never happen on this character.In other words we need the other gmg floating around somewhere.

i have also tryed killing gmg and it does not affect the gate , they are 2 seperate gmg factions.and the only ones flying around are the ones neutral with me not friendly. so i think im stuck as GMG if anyone else encounters this all i can say is maybe dont make the gate too happy and find another way to make dk happy like killing coaltion or something i dont know really otherwise i think you really do get stuck as gmg can anyone tell me how to lose affiliation?
