New formated drive and installed Freelancer for the first time on the system. Installed 1.8.1 and it gets to the menu but when I click start single it errors out with this data

Stating that engbase.dll is the cause(typical MS error box)
Anyone have any clue.
No save games yet for single or mutli.
Antivirus off for the game to run.[MSIE_newline_end ]
