Does CF add new missions besides go to point X and kill John Doe?

Where can I find CF system maps? Any info on the mod, ships, bases and the like would be appreciated!

So the key to overcoming the shield difficulty lies in better equipment, ala money. I like the shield thing, though. How do you deal with high end enemies? One more thing - I assume I am better off in vanilla space until I have a pile of money?

"make some money" - that's kind of the problem. The lower missions don't pay squat. I suppose I could buy a freighter and trade; I had hoped to increase my level through combat, though.

I started CF in SP Open and flew to buy a Liberty Defender. From there I struggled on to the Tokyo system and bought a Barracuda. I barely made it back ti Manhatten in one piece. The level one missions are plenty tough with the regenerating shields. How the hell will I survive in the more difficult areas? Any suggestions?

If I start the game in regular storyline sp, will I have access to the ships and goodies added by CF from vanilla systems/bases?
Have the systems from the vanilla game been altered, as in there are new hiddedn ships/wrecks in the vanilla systems?
Is CF designed to be played after finishing the storyline?
Thanks

I should clarify as "open" single player. Cool wolf!

I was wondering if I'm the only person in the world left that likes to just play Crossfire as singleplayer.

I'm leaving it alone and enjoying the mod very much as it is! Are there any prisons in non-CF areas? (areas from the vanilla game) I'm getting a load of prisoners from missions. [8]

the file "richtx32.ocx" - I searched windows/system and windows/system32 and I cannot find it anywhere. I found the file online and put it on my desktop but I don't know where to put it now

sorry - I don't understand

I think I'm in over my head -
I get an error message
Run Time error 339
Component RICHTX32.OCX is not registered or is invalid -
Thank you!

Is this the Simple Save editor? I can't find it.
The closest file to the one you listed is newplayer.fl. I assume that is the one.
I was trying to change the newcharacter.ini file in the Data/Characters area. Please point me to the editor!!!!!!

I am playing Crossfire doing the Story mode and you start out with $150,000. Why so much? I know if you do Open SP you,ll need the extra cash, but why in Story mode? Is there a file I can alter to lower this? I tried changing the character.ini file and changing the money amount from $150,000 to like $5,000, but at startup I still have $150,000. I don't get it. Ships are so cheap in the beginning, and I can't use the extra money to buy a better one because they are all level based for purchase anyway?
