I am level 2 in the storyline.I have done 7 missions and have $151,800. They are worth like $5,000 each and are a bit tough with my crappy equipment, but doable. It says my next level requirement is $407,046. At the rate I am going, do I really have to do like 51 missions at $5,000 each to level up? Or am I missing something?

Sorry this is not the right board, but seems to have the most FL activity. I haven't played in years, and CF 1.82 has awakened my love for this game in a great new way. One thing - how can I quit the game while in space or otherwise not docked somewhere? I don't remember, and as I am trying out new weapons and such I'd like to be able to quit to the main menu or load screen while in space without trucking all the way back to a base. Any help? Sorry if this is a weenie question.

So what am I missing out on by playing single player storyline instead of open single player?

So at some point I will be able to travel to the new systems and still come back for the storyline?

If I play the storyline in single player, will I still have access to the new worlds and ships created by the mod at some point? Or is it exactly like vanilla SP? Thanks

Damn - all I was saying is these are some reasons people might have for going elsewhere. I didn't say it was Gospel. A smarter approach would be to remedy the problem instead of "McAfee sux" or some other intelligent response. McAfee wasn't the only issue I listed, either.

The mod (Disco) installs easier

CF 1.7 was a pain in the ass to install/re install. People remember

It is difficult to even get to/find the mod among all the SWAT info

I don't play Disco, but I have considered it and to me these are it's advantages. Just some things I see.

I had alot of trouble getting CF to work in Vista. I have since received my free upgrade to Win 7. Has anyone tried it yet? Thanks

Congratulations on the release of 1.8! I play single player and am wondering if I can play 1.8 as a lone bone, wandering the universe as I please, doing missions, etc - or is this release mainly MP oriented? Thanks for replies
