Each voice ini file can have multiple entries for the same phrase, one for each voice type listed in it. For instance, open voices_space_male.ini and notice the [voice] headers as you go down. First you will see the atc (docking character), then the mission commission fella (mc) then all the male pilots. All of the pilots have identical phrases, but different voices. One of my tutorials there lists all the voices in each file.

If you wanted the files for a particular voice, simply open the appropriate utf file with utf2xml.exe.

You can edit this, but it is not for the weak of heart.

    Vanilla uses 3 docking characters, a male, a female and a robot: m01, f01 and f01a
All three would have to be edited for a global effect. Matching the voices perfectly would be difficult, basically find other phrases they speak and cut and paste in an editing program to make a new phrase.

Or you can do a full edit. Each docking character (called atc_leg_m01 etc) has around 418 wav files. They are fairly complicated to edit. See this link to read more:

Dias stated that he deleted all the old wrecks. If he used Explorer, it may have also deleted the solararch entries. So those need to be rebuilt.

If TLR is truely trying to get back on the good side of the community, how about fixing a few other things as well?

I share the same comments and issues/worries and posted above by FF. As do many. And I know many will never speak them out of fear of being "cast out" by other server ops and Admins. But people need to start telling the TLR team these things, otherwise they will never be fixed, or the issue never properly addressed. If Louva and his team are serious in what they say, they would appreciate hearing these things now so they can take them on board and rectify them.

There is more than one site that has now sprung up to try and fill the void that TLR left when it went down. My question is, how will Louva and his team deal with those sites. These people didnt create these sites to spite TLR, they did them for the community. Louva, will you acknowledge this and work alongside those sites? Linking them to yours (and vice versa of course) cross sharing information between each other? After all, at the end of the day, all any of us here want is a safe and secure future for the game we all love to play.

You never came back to answer that question.

    2) I have started the FreelancerCommunity.net site. You have posted there Louva. You have also had email conversations with me. Yet, TLR still refuses to post our banner. You also took one of my news stories and when I pointed that out you still have not given me or the site credit. Post a news blurb about us and host our banner. It would be appreciated. If you look on our site we have a link to TLR as well as front page and archived news of your posts from the very beginning of our site. We were there to fill the void that existed when TLR and the global went down. Instead of being promoted, we are being ignored, even vilified for 'daring' to create to new freelancer site. Prove your new intentions.

    3) Three times now I have given you our server information (Descent Retirement Home 24/7). Still, you have not posted our banner or ever sent an email concerning a TLR update. Prove your new intentions and host our banner. Or will you shut everyone down that has displeased you?

I assume when our new mod is completed and ready to announce that it will also be shut out of TLR?

One thing I did not see.. it was suggested on an earlier page, that a letter should be written and posted in this forum to be sent to others in the FL community about SWAT.. this was never posted to the forum, and I wonder what happened with that endeavor? Can someone please let me know about that? Because I will be happy to help in the effort..

We have posted this letter on the http://FreelancerCommunity.net site in the news section. I will be sending out emails shortly to as many server owners as I can find asking them to help promote this site. So far only Monkey Universe has signed up their members. As long as individual communities keep quiet about 'other communities', the death of freelancer is certain. Time to open up and educate your players! I doubt a single server has increased their player count while LR and the global server has been down.

Thanks to FlyByU for sending this info to our site. Your thoughts about the events that transpired at the meeting match ours fairly close. TLR had a chance from the votes at the meeting, now with their long silence, that chance has dwindled.

I am glad I am not the only one seeing a dictator trying to grab all the power. Not that I want to split the community, quite the opposite.

Please visit a new site we put up shortly after the meeting. Some good info there already. [10] If SWAT is truly a place that is interested in keeping FL alive, you could have our support.

We will be posting FlyByU's message there shortly under NEWS. Please note that we created this site for news and mod announcements. The forums are there only for quick conversations and are not intended to become active.
