I'd like to throw in my 2 cents.

I don't represent the SWAT Portal in any way here since I have my own server and own community. I joined this place while Lancersreactor was offline. The people here have done an impressive work to get this place up in such a short time.
I know no other Community which has so many information about about Freelancer and those other games. SWAT has hundreds of downloads, hundreds of information pages, very good modding tutorials and a very helpful and open community.
On the net there is no better scifi community and also no better Freelancer community. SWAT offers more information and features for FL than any other community including Lancersreactor.

What surprised me most is that the portal adminstration does not ask anything in return for their work. There is no "move your forums to SWAT" there is also no "support us and we might decide to help you". Players from all communities are respected here and got help.
SWAT also did not say "we will host the GLS", no it was said that the software will be handed over to a neutral place were no Freelancer player can do manipulation. Unlike the Lancersreactor staff SWAT doesn't seem to be interested in gaining power over the Freelancer communities and such a discipline deserves our respect.

And now to the opposite.
It took more than 2 months for Lancersreactor set up an standard forum with portal. In these 2 months the FL community had to live with misinformations, false promises, broken rules and many other shameful issues.
The new LR GLS is developed by EOA and EOA (especially the leader) have abused their powers to a large extent. EOA is know for breaking rules and for treating others like shit. I spent much time on the lancersreactor chat in the past months just to see this shameful behaviour and I see no reason why EOA would stop their abuse of powers. As I have stated on another topic on this forum I will not return to Lancersreactor even if that means that my server and my community are thrown out of the Freelancer world by EOA or Lancersreactor.

Finally I'd like to show you the most obvious difference between Lancersreactor and SWAT.
Both communities dislike each other. Lancersreactor claims to be the Freelancer world while SWAT doesn't. But it is SWAT which still links to Lancersreactor while Lancersreactor simply decided that SWAT is not worth to stay in their Freelancer world.

I see no reason why I should go there. That site has nothing to offer anymore and I don't like their racist admin.

The voting seems to be over but I can not find any results yet. AMD games seems to promote the best 100 mods on their site and I believe Logitech is doing the same. That are a few million visitors per month on these sites which can see the 2 Freelancer mods.

You have not invited more communities yet?
There are so many servers and Freelancer communities out there.
You should post on every Freelancer forum you can find and offer them to join SWAT and enter their mods and servers to those databases on the main site.

Thank you for that offer. I am glad that i have been on that chat and able to see the truth. I am also glad that SWAT has enough courage to say this truth instead of what people would love to hear. Maybe we can help each other.

He is the TLR adminstrator right? So the admin did break the rules again just like SWAT said.

All the stuff that has been said about breaking rules and abusing powers turns out to be true. SWAT has said the truth and this Louva Deus has lied. I guess I will never visit TLR again knowing that the administrator is a liar and rulebreaker.

I have just watched the discussion on the #lancersreactor chat and followed the link to this place. I was shocked about what has been said.

SWAT came in and some guy asked for help and that was reason enough for TLR members to insult SWAT. What a community does punish players that help other players? I remember that TLR had rules against such behaviour, but those rules have been broken and nobody does do something against it. Is this our future?

Is it true that there is a possibility to keep the server list alive? That other guy said that LR does know about it but decided against it.
What right do they have to do such decisions?
I have a small server for me and a few friends. Where can I play when the list server is gone? I don't want to loose my server.
SWAT quoted what a TLR admin has said, that TLR does decide which server may survive. But i don't want to follow other peoples rules. It is my server and I'd like to do with it what i want.

Can you people help me?
