You could always buy cargo equal to the amount above what you want to have and dump it in space. Problem solved, you're broke

I've been trying to log in to the game since 9:30pm... it's now 11hours later and I still can't get in. Is the sever doown or is it just me?

Just a thought....
What about a launchable sensor bouy? Something that a player could launch that would feed data to the contacts list and/or map for ships within a 5k diameter or so from the bouy for a set period of time, say 180 seconds or so, before self-destructing. Could maybe be a class of missile or mine?
