I was finally able to DL the CF 1.9 mod. On my second attempt I did get it to work correctly. After (of course) a clean install of FL and FLMM.
Although it only alowed me to do the single player mission play. I suspect the trick is in the FLMM option window. Will try it tommorow.

Ok thanks, well I'm DL'ing it once again.... Lets see how it goes. 8 hrs it claims.....

Hmm, Oddly enough I've DL'd the Crossfire1.9.exe mod 2 time now. An they both failed.
This is odd. Is there as loaction / repository where I can DL it from.
I try to do it at night, start the DL an hope to have a pleasant surprise in the morning. If not that night...
Anyone know a link for a DL location???

Well I've been ghosting (think that's the word used now days) this forum and SWAT site for like 5 years now. I used to play FL heavily on the Ion Cross site, but after being distracted by RL and PCS'ing (some will know what that is) an all the fun stuff in-between, I've come back here. So I'm going to finally give CF (Crossfire1.9) a try.

Now it's been QUITE a while from the last time I sat a cockpit (I feel dirty saying that), and flying about, so can someone point me to a page that I can DL the maps an other info. I'm gona be so lost. I'm sure there is a TS or Vent server up that we all talk on. Where can I find that. ATM, the CF1.9 is DL so once thats done (Hopefully tonight ) I'll be on. Once installed. That should not be to hard. Well I actually look forward to meeting the lot of you, hopefully not at the cost of an ejection pod. But other than that, like the Great Danny Thomas said... Eve, is one of the truly great games that I think will stand the test of time. The mechanics of the game are to marvel at. The MNarkets, skills, graphics, etc...
While yes,it can be said that a more experienced play is hard to catch up to, but not impossible. Provided they (basically) mess up. ~Meaning, caught off guard, don't log on to select new skills to train, run into a hunting group.~ and some other thing which I just cant remember right now. Put in perspective, if you played moderately over a year, how in the hell would a brand new player be able to cause any real harm to a well developed time tested veteran? Thats like saying I start a new company today, and I put IBM out of business next week. Come on~
Any game that you spend time on, rewards you in that way, your char get tougher, better equipment, more understanding of how things work, etc.... (besides IBM could crush me if they want. :P)

Now, I can't claim to have played JG, But have played Freelancer, Eve, Starlancer, WingComm, Freespace I & II, and a host of other. Each is great, but eventually faded. All things will. As for right now, I would tell you, tell anyone.....
