Well the location is story driven with clues located in different systems and I'm not sure how much can be given away (like where to start). But know that it is very a very good story that continues where the orginal FL story ended (Assuming you played the single player FL first.

Been away for awhile.....problems with my install & and health problems. But OP, I said it long ago and I'll say it now. You are indeed an artist.

My problem is in XP Pro. I've installed CF on my old machine (the same one I orginally played CF on with no problems). I can get on with no problems. Then after awhile I am dropped back to desk top. I've disable the 3D sound, checked my firewall/virus checker many times (McAfee) and clean installed three times.

I thought it might be (for me anyway) localized to Sovieta (pardon spelling) but after my last clean install I was able to get back to Gamma before I was dropped.

In most cases after being dropped back to the desktop I can not reenter the game or any FL server. It would seem that CFWD.exe is still running but not where I can access it and it does not show on the desk top.

I've had various messages like....CFWD.exe problem starting in Multiplayer [E-5] and E\FL\scratch\source\client\config.cpp (387) ***error unable to read freelancer config file (freelancer.ini)....the last was before the last clean install.

Any ideas? I'm going to try the offline with IE and see if that does anything.

As with any project, Apollo, most of it most likely is being done under cover of secracy. But as you say, nothing is apparent as of yet.

But something has occured to me and I'd like some input here if it's aleight with OP. This borders on the present discussion topic. If any players frequent other Mod Forums I'd like to hear which side of the street the other FL communties are sitting on.

I know that the Void is siding with Lancer for the most part and NQ is, well saying nothing.

FLYBYU...it should work fine. But as Cent has said, sure as the world we indorse it , it will not work. Here is hoping for the best. I believe it will be just fine.

Sorry I missed THIS meeting. But not to sound like a suck up, I stand by Op's idea of unifing the FreeLancer Communities (FLC). And I believe someone here (so much to read.... .....) mentioned that perhaps a meeting of all the major (or not so major?) Admins needs to take place.

Perhaps this meeting with LR can be recycled as a "Wake up meeting" or "An Awaking" meeting. Any way you cut it, I stand with OP and the CF community.
