    @ Titan Addict - First off, to increase rank, you get more money and a better ship... The better the ship and equipment the higher the rank... The more money the higher the rank... The higher the two the even higher the rank.


    Secondly, modding a saved file can corrupt it... or just not work... It's way more difficult... If you want to make things easy, I don't know for sure, but you can try a trainer which increases/freezes your amount of money.


    Third, you'd probably be better off just finding a way to make quick money, making it that way, buying the ship you want, then going forth with whatever.


    @ EVH316 - That thing you are going through is as OP says... Story related... The game is in no way without problems... Even the normal game, unmodded/updated has problems.

    Daemon Tools or IsoBuster, both will open cd images. Like a .IMG file extension. Daemon Tools is fairly simple to understand and so is IsoBuster. Take your pick and see if you can make it work.

    Ya, as Screamer stated... Delete all Freelancer folders and files... make sure to save you ID Number... I had the similiar problem and diagnosed it... It just doesn't deactivate correctly.


    So....


    Uninstall
    Remove all files... (ie delete freelancer folder where ever you installed it.)
    Remove Crossfire (in the mod folder, you'll have to reinstall crossfire...)
    Reboot the computer...
    Then install freelancer, then crossfire, and try that...


    It should work.

    @OP - Thanks for the help you are giving me with the ship... I wish there were a quicker way for us to communicate so I can figure it out sooner and start working on my mod.

    Well there is one problem to adding more guns... running out of information cards to put their stats on...


    But if that not being a problem... I'd suggest stuff along the lines of...


    Chain guns... actual bullet kind of concept... very fast refire rate... dmg depends on what OP would accept for such a fast refire rate... Energy cost couldn't be too high cause of the refire rate...


    Shot guns... a spread shot kind of thing... low refire... high dmg... bad long range, good close range...


    Grenade launcher kinda of thing... has a set range at what point it explodes... various kind of effects... like a flash kind of thing that makes a bright light... or frag which shoots 'shards' everywhere... stunning... killing energy of a ship...


    Just some kind of real world type of gun suggestions... that's all.

    Oh hey, I just got the complete version of 3D Studio Max 8... 3500 dollars :D ... The full Milkshape 3D ... and full Paint Shop Pro... So if anyone especially you OP need help with the modelling or texturing let me know! I'd be more than happy to help.

    Well, I've done everything I know to do to make it no invisible. I won't know if the textures are working until I get the ship uninvisible. Even with OP's help it's being a bi*** and a half to work.

    Well I fixed the Thruster. That was easy enough... Now... The ship is still invisible!!! I have no idea why... It makes no sense... It's not a texture problem, cause if it were I'd still see my ship, it'd just be white... I don't know if I should just give up or not... I want it to work so bad though :(

    Tough most certainly, but once you get it down it comes fairly fast... Making something like Crossfire would take a lot.... A LOT of time.


    Okay, seeing if that works... i know the thruster thing will :D

    Okay, I figured out how to make my sihp work and it's a good size... Now, my ship is invisible!!! I changed around the LOD from 0, 2000 to -100, 2000 to -100, 3600 to 0, 3600... It stays invisible.


    Oh, and when I use thruster... it looks like an engine glowy thing is going straight up from the middle engine.

    Yay! Nice call on that MAT. I had to make a custom one and not use the thing from MS3D.


    Now, I just need to figure out how to make it the correct size.

    Okay, I sat there and tried to increase the size, but it stays the size on like 1/20 of the Rhino. How do I make it bigger? I tried scaling in MS3D and on the exporter... it stays the same.

    1. The ship does show up on HardCMP. That was one of the problems I was having. I fixed that though.


    2. I'll go over the ship stats very carefully or just redo them. I believe they are correct though.


    3. I'll check the hard points and make sure they are correct... I got a tutorial from Lancers Reactor that shows me all the needed hard points. I'll get my hard point list up for the ship. Then you can tell me if I am missing any. Please?


    4. Okay, I have the .mat file. Exported from MS3D. I will make a custom .mat file for the ship and see if that works.


    Okay, give me a little and I'll have a post up with what I've done and other stuff.
