  • Worse performance

    main issue for me atm is the graphics problems. I have checked and my card is not over heating or anything like that. I did look around forums and many are experiencing the same....jump into mission and all you see is bight white and yellow boxes as the textures. So far Cryptic says this is caused by latency.....well, I'm in SoCal and have an excellent internet connection.....if latency is the issue it's server latency. The slowest servers I can find in Northern CA have a avg ping from me < ms, my download speed is 30+mbps and uploads are 5+ mbps. No way these issues are on my end . Other thing I've had happen is a bunch of "server timed out' crashes. Sometimes transwarp to anywhere....just stops responding.....you just stay in "loading (bla-bla) sector" sector screen until I manually shut down game and restart the game. Sometimes change char will help on 1st issue....most times it's best to just not try and restart game.


    Have you tried jumping into Breach or Storm the Spire...and all you can see is white boxes? Not fun. Same happens in STF's...but at least those I have done 100+ times


    The graphics thing can also happen anywhere at any time....go to bank...all the sudden you have no icons in inventory or bank account.....have to restart game again!

  • News about Season 8

    Looks pretty cool to me so far. From what I have read it seems November 8th or 18th ( i forget) is the season 8 release date. I'm finally almost done with the old reps on both my chars and looks like new grinding will be happening soon.

    Unfortunate that where a specific posting was made is not currently available to all involved.The internal fleet page needs to be "applied to" and would be a better place to have these discussion. Thnx Martind for pointing that out.
    May I suggest that people step back and let any agro from recent things have a chance to cool down. I'm sure that calmer ways are in order atm.

    You might add....while in Eta Eridani, you can also do the "Defense Contract" daily at Alhena system. +480 dil...I think average time is 3 mins? I'm not sure if this mission is available to players lower than VA level.

    f2p guy here...if I was ever gonna pay, I would wait for one of the big sales on lifetime subscription. TBH tho...I haven't been impressed enough with the makers of the game (although I enjoy the game when it works) to really ever consider giving them my cash. Maybe if one of my side jobs can only pay me in paypal or something then I'll consider it. I think Rex has it figured pretty accurately...does seem that the 5% can come in handy. I haven't done much pvp, but I bet a lot of the guys do have that bonus in their favor.

    Update....must just be my pc, I never did get the game to not crash pretty often. Oh well, I'll keep on keeping on and take breaks when the crashes drive me crazy again

    Some of the accolades with benefits seem kind of unspecific as to weapons type/species type....do those then over all increase your effectiveness? IE...do some of them have a cumulative effect in general?

    Hmm....big reason I finally gave up (banking system) . I knew from the beginning it was gonna cause issues....but I also saw that OP and others were trying to make a game with features that some players wanted. It's always a hard thing to make a thing that gives features...and then not have those features abused.

    PS....I think my bank never came close level to my actual play chars in funds.....even when I was trying to save credits for recruiting. TBH...what the hell is the point of being a hidden billionaire?
