    I didn't want to say anything, but your point about the UN would be excellent if the UN's permanent members did not have veto privileges.


    Every time the UN made a wise and essential decision, the participating nations used their veto power to obstruct it.



    Only Russia/UDSSR used its veto power 120 times to prevent the UN from taking action. Even while they did not use it nearly as frequently as Russia, the US did utilize this veto when it suited their goal. The previous time, Russia covered up the well-documented war crimes in Syria by exercising its veto power.
