I have tried it on the steam deck but couldn't get it to launch. But I have Arch on a laptop that works fine for some reason
My main PC is windows though.
It's not the most unbearable issue it's just very noticeable and I can't seem to fix it

32gb Ram,
Nvidia Gigabyte 1080ti
I7-7700k CPU
Gigabyte Aorus board (I can't remember which one)
I remember playing Crossfire a few years ago without issue
I have now tested Crossfire on Arch Linux and I am facing the same (actually understandably worse) issues
I took some screenshots that hopefully give you an idea of what I'm seeing
Ships don't show weapons even at less than 100m
Ships use low LOD textures and mesh
Lights are misaligned
I'm currently on Win 10 home 20H2
I can try again on a different machine to see if I get better results but that might take a day or two
I've updated my drivers and seen no improvements, I also deleted my shader cache and also saw no improvements
I've tried every shader option in the launcher and have had no success so far.
But thank you for the suggestions!
I wanted to get back into crossfire as it's been about 5 years.
I was interested in the single player, installed the whole mod with a fresh installation of Freelancer
But when I play the game itself it runs just fine. However objects beyond 200m drop LODs really fast. A cruiser just 300m away looks 50% invisible with no weapons on it. I can see distant space battles like the one at Willard research station from over 16k away. But ships/objects 200m are ugly.
I've tried launching multiplayer to see if there was an update that would fix it but I've had no luck. I've tried different shaders, and I've tried putting the graphics to low and back to high. I'm running the game in 2560x1080 (not sure if that'd make a difference)
When I play on Discovery or Vanilla I never get this issue
Any idea on something I can do that might fix this?
