Is the Inner Core system available to access in the single player mode? And if so, how does one find it? Thanks, and sorry if this has been asked already.

When I start Mission 4 and exit the planet I see Juni and she has a brief convo with me and then the Liberty Navy starts its all out assault. I can't do anything except fly around and shoot some battleships because if I go past 4km from Juni it says I've left the mission field. Juni appears to be stuck with her thrusters on cruise on the top of the one planet docking ring and just sits there. Anyone have any ideas? I've tried everything I can think of including ramming her, shooting her, shooting the docking ring, you name it. Thanks in advance.
