    thx for your response OP.


    i stated that Gunny was/is head of the SP due to the fact that hes the most experienced, longest serving and most active SP here and as such should, imo, take an authoritive stance over the rest of the SP.... with regard to training them and leading and if neccassary act as a 3rd party within mediations.
    at least, up until recently, everyone on the server would listen to him in his SP role more so than the more "junior" SP.
    when i was SP i allways held Gunny in that light out of earned respect, as no doubt others do too.
    its not a criticism of my or others role in thier SP duties..we do/did our jobs to the best of our ability, theres no reason to belittle those SP that think the same way.
    i dont think Gunny is taking an innitiative here OP, i think hes just generaly pissed off with the constant (and i mean constant) abuse and harrassment from other players.
    and please believe me when i say i DO understand, its much the same reason why i gave up my SP role. although until recently had never had a bounty placed on me and pushed quite so hard^^
    his clan and especially himself are being targetted through his actions as SP as ppl cant/wont differentiate the roles.

    Gunny was/is the head/commander of the Server Poilce for a GOOD reason and has been deservedly so, and hes put up with far more crap than most of you could fathom, which most of you have thrown at him.

    well thats only due to the fact that other ppl cant distinguish between his SP role and his ingame role, not Gunny's fault. due to ignorance and arrogance of other players. Gunny has never confused his roles here as long as ive been here, because apparently hes one of the few that does understand where the roles are seperate.


    when i was SP i put up with much the same treatment - not to such a severe extent as Gunny has been treated - the major reason why i resigned. the way the SP are treated here is disgusting and its one of the reasons why i dont play often anymore. why should anyone put thierselves out for others just to recieve abuse?!!


    well ppl you deserve what you get imo. lets see what happens the next time a server side dispute erupts and Gunny isnt there to mediate your petty arguments, or to stop you from throwing personal insults and attacking other players.

    you have allways had my respect as SP and as a player on this server m8. its a shame that these ppl have pushed you too your limits - yet again. i hope you reconsider your resignation as i can invisage the server going into anarchic chaos without your enforcement as SP.


    @everyone:
    imo 3 ppl on the server have RIGHT to comment on anything ive posted here: Gunny, OP and Canoso, and i welcome thier critisism. everyone else has never been in the same position on this server to have an insight.


    buck up ppl and stop biting the hand that feeds you. play by the rules and stop with this endless bullshit that is evidently driving the longer standing players away from this server.


    @clan leaders:
    pull your clansman into line or kick them out for non-compliance...an act of the individual is an act of a clan. if they cant follow the rules then they dont deserve the tags. stop posting the rules and try enforcing them for a change, only then may you get a taste of the shit Gunny has put up with^^

    as soon as my char lists comes up i get disconnected...after multiple re-installs. thought it was just me:P
    experienced a wierd phenomenon in sol too...when using the saturn warp gate i experience a total system crash...thats never happened before..when i was able to connect:P

    it wasnt meant for you to take offence super, just a friendly "nudge" coz its not wise to site OP in your argument. bear in mind that the server has greater load than at any other time in the past. new ppl on the forum, various downloads available, think of the increased problems where unneccassary server load/memory is required due to "big sigs". we dont really want to be part of the problem regards hardware issues do we?
    to reduce the image size without losing quality i used "microsoft picture it" to resize and trim my avatar without losing quality. try designing a new one, not so high this time tho ;)

    the big sig thing is a pain in the arse, scale em down, but theres no reason to take it to extremes.

    super m8, your sig WAS way too big - scale it down or change it. easy really^^ btw this is OP's Forum, OP's mod and so OP's perfectly within his right to have whatever the hell he likes as his sig. dont bite the hand that feeds you.

    sounds like you may still have some old saved games or data on your system. go into your computer - c drive - program files - microsoft games. delete the freelancer folder. download a fresh copy of crossfire and do a reinstall.
    ive had the same problems before and sometimes its been ok if i just do a reboot tho - no doubt you've tried that tho ;)

    /givecash cmd has been used unsuccessfully on other servers, causes too many problems with the server and leads to crashes. why would we want that.


    anyway theres usually ppl online who can help with a transfer m8.

    imagine you are in your vhf in new berlin...you fancy trading. you spend 20 mins getting to earth, spend 56mil inc part ex for a Soulforge train, than you do one sol run. theres an hour and 15 minutes gone and you have lost 6 mil. errr^^
    oh and you get taxed on the way as there wasnt a merc online to hire and the police were 4 systems away :P.
    so that scenario would actually lose you 11 mil minimum. your own RP at that specific time would actually be dictated by the server conditions/other players. sry but i choose what i want to do, if anyone tries to force me then i go find something else to do.
    ppl would leave in droves imo if you try to force them into an un realistic FL scenario. FL isnt SL.


    i guess ill just sit in a rarely visited system and mine gasses and ores, as a freelancer. that way ill never get above lvl40 and have to buy an rp licence.:P


    btw chess is a very simple game with few rules, you just need a bit of grey matter to think ahead

    CF is my escapism so i use an alter ego/mirror image of me from RL.


    apart from that its the title of a classic 60's Scifi movie..the old ones are the best.


    and btw its not German, i keep getting asked that, the spelling is different - Doppelganger being the German spelling
