ok, I have 2 things I can use help with at the moment. One should be fairly simple to solve and is probably a simple mistake I can't find, but the second could be interesting so here they come:
1. I built this site as I would build it for IE and I was testing it with Firefox, but when I tested it with IE one time, one of the frames simply refused to load. So if someone recognises this prb, I can send the code and let you look at it.
2. I want to make a scrollbar that doesnt show up on the side, but only consists of two arrow at the bottom and top of the page. I don't think I can do this in flash as I still want it to be able to be scrollable with a mousewheel. Reason I want this: it's in the middle frame and it looks really ugly if I use a standard scrollbar
Grtz, and thanks in advance again
EDIT: I found a mouseover scroll dohicky and I guess it's good enough for now, but the thing is, it's clickable and if you click it, the browser kind of freaks out, so I was wondering if anyone knew something to prevent that. Here's a links to the script: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/pagescroller.htm
Ow, and one other thingy, is there a way to get text at the bottom of your page, without using tables. And by bottom I mean the bottom of every screen, with any resolution.
You can understand, I'm really new at this agian

Well, about the moving parts, it would be pretty cool for DK and Nomads, but I guess it would make the mod monstous in size. And the Serenity is just insta-pwn

hmm, I dont really feel like flashing now, and I have no idea what dhtml is, so I'll just leave it like this. It has a tester, so there won't be a error if Js is not compatible.
I just bumped into some other stuff that I might need help with, so I'll just edit them in once I pinpoint them :]

yea, that's why I asked for an alternative, but since firefox and IE both refuse to display it, I figured it could well be a mistake I made. And yes, I've set JS settings in my browsers. :] Since it has this tester thingy in it, JS should disable itself if the browser doesn't support it.
I'm just want to get this work for 2 reasons, band site's are supposed to be overkill and I'm curious as of how it works, I always am
Grtz
EDIT: well, I got it to work, just forgot one silly thingy.
Anyways, as OP and many others said to me, JS isn't the way to go, so if anyone knows an alternative, it is very welcome. :]
Howdy people
As of yesterday I've been trying to make a basic site for my band and I had this plan for the navigation frame where the buttons would slightly change when you mouse over them. I didn't know any other way to get that effect but by JavaScript and I have almost no experience with that, so I looked up the script for this effect. It seemed like there was alot of useless stuff in there, but since I wanted to be sure, I just copied the whole thing and editted the names and stuff. When I opened it in my browser it was still the same. So if anyone knows another way to get the same effect or could check the code for any possible flaws, that would be much appreciated :]
Btw, there are some dutch thingies in there, but that shouldnt be a bother I guess.
Grtz and thanks in advance
EDIT: darn, I can't post the code as the forum realizes it, any suggestions?
