Big Partypoker fan and player here, only play for small amounts, as I play for fun, but a Crossfire player tournament would be awesome. 10 seater sit-and-go would be great fun. We should definitely sort something out there. PM me if you have any ideas how we can pull it off.

Wow! Can we get that to render Juni for 1.8?

Brilliant! Ahhh d20s and character sheets, those were the days!

Awesome! "I'm getting POUNDED!" LOL

Congratulations and Happy Anniversary PX. You've been a pleasure to fight alongside and against.

Hey all,
I still haven't forgotten about my previous suggestion RE: retro gaming mags/forums. Unfortunately work commitments mean I barely get time to play at the moment never mind calling round/pitching to them.
For those of you who didn't see the original, the idea was to approach the retro scene with a spec email/call, and send info with screenshots etc. Originally this was for Crossfire only, but it could just as easily apply (and might be more likely to be published) if we approach as a whole multiplayer scene across FL.
What we'd need is a short description and a couple of screenshots of all the major mods. This could then be used to pitch to the target who would then run the story in print or online (knowing most journos, under their own name, but that's not the point.)
Massive exposure and new players should follow.
I actually work in marketing and have dabbled in journalism, so when things quiten down workwise I'll be happy to take it on. However, if anyone wants to start the ball rolling please feel free, or if you want to get anything together for one of the various mods and send it to me directly then email me at sun_sear@yahoo.co.uk (profile email not working and unable to change.)
Same applies to any tweaks or suggestions you may have to the above gameplan. Thanks all.

Great idea on the mags Phoenix sounds like a winner!
I'm wondering if the retro sites would be interested, there's a lot of them about and the original is officialy retro now. Might be worth posting a few comments on the reviews, etc. Generate a bit of interest from the older gamers who might not be aware there's mods about for a classic game such as this.

I promised my support at the meeting, and stand by that. I have been scouring for news on the games listed, but they all seem to be awaiting release with nothing new posted on the net. If there's anything else I can do in the meantime, then by all means let me know guys. Here to help!

Thanks a lot guys, didn't know I had so many friends on here!
I won't be away any longer than I need to be, & I'll keep up on the forum.
Thanks for the tweaking tips, but it is the Laptop, as it's not just FL, it's crashing on websites too, I think it's been pushed to hard (Morrowind 3/Freelancer) and the chip's just welded itself to the motherboard, so it's only going to get worse, 'electronic migration' apparently or to use the technical term 'crap laptop!'
Was a Toshiba 1.3Ghz btw, cheap & cheerful graphics card, but was running so hot you could fry an egg on it after 30mins on Morrowind or a couple of hours on FL.
The desktop's only a 1.2 but with a decent graphics card, some more RAM & a monitor that's not darker than Gunnys cockpit, it should be ok
This is killing me atm, is there a withdrawal helpline or should I resort to alcoholism to get me through?
Thanks again guys, love you all (in a manly hetero non-lumberjack way obviously) [10] -
Well, I've been trying all weekend guys, but it looks like my Laptop has decided it won't play CF anymore. I've bleached the hard disk & re-installed OS, twice.
Got my my map info back, bur now the game crashes the computer completely (blue screen of death,) about 30 seconds after starting.
I just want to say that I have really enjoyed playing on this server & am still amazed at what OP managed to do with the mod, he's made a great game into a masterpiece.
When I get the cash together I'll upgrade my desktop PC so I can get back on.
Until then, I'm gonna miss being a part of this fantastic community.
Big thanks to IOC, especially Az, Dark, Angmar & Argos for all your help. I'm going to miss being a part of this clan.
Thanks to Canoso as well(even if he is LP) for giving a random pilot nomad weapons, just as a help for a new starter & not asking for anything in return.
Az, give my weapons etc. to the next new member as It may be a while until I can get back. Until then have fun y'all, don't take things too seriously, and tell Juni I'll call soon
(IOC)Sunburn, signing off.
