Yeah...I've been waiting about 20 minutes or so (give or take) for the re-boot to finish. It doesn't usually take this long.

If I may humbly offer my opinion on the matter, why not simply make NY a PvP zone like all other systems and not worry about campers there any more than the NL system.

My reasoning for this is simply that every now and then Manhattan offers great trade options not to mention that NY is the central transportation hub of the universe. As far as "safe" zones are concerned, I personally only used NY for transfers because thats where you could always find someone to help. Anywhere will do for this however. You just need to be creative to ensure that you won't be blown to bits in mid-transfer.

I will abide by the final decision and stand behind OP and all SPs in the matter. My only hope is that the few have not made matters so bad as to permanently inconvenience the many.

@ Lancelot...Yes, this is Psyclops and I apologize also...I think I mistook your friendly warning as a threat. I had a great time with our interaction (my running like hell) the other day and still look forward to our next engagement. Understand though that the cargo (illegal as it was) had cost 25 mill and represented 1/3 of my finances. Hell yeah I used everything I had to escape! LOL

@ Inferno....I don't switch characters until docked. If I am fired upon and choose to run my pursuer has every opportunity to finish the job. They just have to put as much effort into killing me as I put into surviving.

As far as I'm concerned the incident is resolved. My freighter is now more heavily armed and I'm ready for the next run in.

I thank everyone who posted here for their input, and based on what I have read I make the following pledge:

In a fighter I will never use bots/bats in PvP

In a freighter it will depend on the value of the cargo...I see it the same way as Tanatos and Wavey. If I choose to fight rather than run then Bats/Bots will not be used.

Under no circumstances will I ever F1 out to avoid a fight, cargo loss or taxation.

I just wanted to see where I stood on the subject as he was threatening a ban on me.

What are the rules regarding the use of Bots and Bats in casual RP PvP? I was engaged this morning by a police clan member (while I was smuggling) and used both in my escape only to informed that I had just cheated. I have studied all I can find in the Server Rules but can find nothing regarding this.

If I did just cheat, I'm sorry and it won't happen again...however I would like to know the final word regarding this please.

About a month ago I was looking online for a free roam RPG in a future setting when I ran across this game. When the reviewer compared it to Elite, I was sold. Since then the game has taken over every free moment I can spare for it.
