The problem with this kind of stuff is the lack of information. To actually find out whats going on one needs to register an account first to find only mere spculations on what might've happened. No offense, i think you're doing a great job, but if you want to keep new players and therefore the community alive, it would be nice to have a short notice line "offline for maintenance" or so in the news on the main page. That'll definitely help to prevent the 'occasional' players from leaving, who'd otherwise enrich the community

Yea, CF is really a great mod, but just being the best one won't make a mod popular, you need to keep your players, even those who just heard about the mod and are checking it out. I don't think it's a good strategy making a server inaccessible for a couple of days - well, the OP probably has good reasons for not having a test server for such purposes, but it will most likely make new players look for alternatives, which is a bummer, because its a really good mod.

This isn't meant to be a complaint, i know the work involved in larger software projects, it is merely an advice, just in case you aren't already aware of it

You know why i've been pushy? Not because i have no patience, but because i did not get a *single* clear answer to my question. The only thing i read here is a crappy discussion about which country is better. You can't accuse me being pushy towards the admin, i've been pushy towards you guys who obviously know whats going on, but prefer to write 12-volume epics about how superior your countries' achievements are, instead of giving a simple and clear answer like 'the admin is packaging it, be patient.' ... thats all i wanted to know.

And *please* acknowledge serious questions in this board. Some of us here are really interested in testing the new version and want to know when and if there will be any download links for it. Please dont misunderstand me, i don't want to be pushy, i'm just not familiar with the usual procedure of transition to a new Mod version. Will it need more time to package the new client version, are you still testing the server, or is webspace and traffic the problem?

Hmm..very nice! It's probably been a huge bunch of work.
Is there a download yet somewhere? Myself and a bunch of friends are already desperate to check out the new version
