so i used to play this mod, both before and after the dynamic universe.
the first time i played i joined cfpd, then realized there was a highly irational person in it, and whenever he went off (which seemed a daily happening), everyone else was required to go wherever he was... it was alot of bs, when i just wanted to pvp and explore...
after that i joined bg, stayed a while, noone from the forums every played so i stopped playing after a while
when dynamic universe started i joined IOC, but it was fairly lifeless, alot of pirates those days along with fake police nazi's.
so after a while, when 1.9 came out i came back, and was very carefull for the first week not to ever talk to anyone else.
then i spoke to kelisle, seemed there wasnt too much bs, so i applied back to bg, got accepted, then tagged up...
after spending 4 days trading and getting my ships and equipment, kelisle comes on and tells me that some person i have never met, or whom dosent even play, said he thinks my name could possible be considered offensive.... my names were variations of swag...
got_my_swag: trading char, get_my_swag: apc, got_yer_swag: gunboat, shot_by_swag: fighter...
im not sure how those could be consiered offensive, i didnt want to name them like fighter/trader, cause u invite piracy naming urself that..
i left bg, joining cost me about 200m in lost money and equipment, and my i need to start again with 12m
im going to attempt to play here, with a new name, but im betting the horid online experiance will cause me to leave again
i have no real point except people are stupid... but maybe this might help explain why ppl don't/wont play on this server
