Trying to improve my rep with order to try out ships sold on sol, who are there enemies? playing open single player. and just start to night with MP but internet keeps going down

Is this normal for Open single player saved game

you start the game at 16 lvl, I look to see what I needed for the next lvl and it show me need more credits to reach next lvl . then I started doing some trading had to quit do to lighting I saved game then exit game. after awhile I reload save game them noticed it said to gain next lvl I need mission. OK what mission? Is this a error becouse i cant by ships or equipment higher higher then 16 lvl

Do you need freelancer patch v1.1 installed. I tried to look up put can't find answer. sorry if this has been ask before didnt see it . Going to down load and install to today.
