Copied the .dll from IE to freelancer\exe, unregistered, then reregistered the .ocx and I'm at the launcher...

...and I'm ingame. Thanks for your patience guys, really appreciate it.

List above this shows "IESHIMS.DLL" cannot be found, gonna go hunt for it and see if it helps

I run freelancer as admin in xp sp3 compat, click off the "freelancer.exe wants to make changes to your computer" box then i get the "Component 'MSINET.Ocx' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" error

Removes sys32 and sys64 ones, no effect.

Still the same. Tried it in all 3 locations and it just spits out the same error. What are the dependencies it's referring to?

Sys32 is still there. No luck with it in either folder, registered one, tested, registered the other, and neither worked

And this goes only in syswow64, correct?

Added to syswow64, admin-cmd registered, same error. Think it hates me.

Huh, thought i'd tried that one. Unfortunately, i still get the error.I assume i now need to reinstall yet another version of it? Derp. Didn't see next page button.

Apologies for yet another msinet thread, but i've followed every manual, instruction, tip, suggestion, flash file and blind guess i could find here, and having no luck.

Running Win7 Ultimate 64bit

Installing from nothing (checked for remaining folders) as follows. All programs run in xp sp3 compat as admin.
1: Freelancer installed to c:\games\freelancer
2: FLMM 1.31 downloaded from http://www.crossfire.swat-portal.com/index.php?c=8, installed to c:\games\freelancer mod manager
3: CF 1.82 downloaded from same page, 3 times now, and installed as above. FLMM pops up after mod install, closed it. Reopened FLMM as above, activated CF.
4: Run freelancer as above, get MSINET.Ocx missing dependencies error.
5: Tried MSINET.OCX files from several different sources*, placed in system32, syswow64 and the FL folder, registered through cmd run as admin.

Probably on my 12th uninstall and purge atm, starting to wonder if this mod will ever work for me. Anything i've missed?
