i bought a wieght reducer and when i mounted it my armor was dismounted . as i know my armor has to be mounted to work , does the wieght reducer also need to be mounted.
or does just buying it make it effective

The concept is that by adding armor to your ship, your ship's mass increases and you have more protective surfaces on your ship to lessen damages to it. With a weight reducer, mass is reduced and your ship becomes more vulnerable to damages. The two would sort of cancel each other out, so you can't mount both at the same time. The two devices effect both the agility and defenses of your craft
