  • This was an idea from burro and drakon, and they've asked me to open the thread with one of my several recepies.

    First of, Pizza Di Ruivo (Name suggested by burro):

    Ingredients:

    1kg wheat flouer;
    8 spoons of kitchen oil (7 spoons of oil and 1 of olive oil is good to, but there's ppl who doesnt like olive oil. Nuts.);
    30g of biological ferment (the one bakers use)
    1 cup of milk (if u want to make an bigger dough, use 2 cups)
    1 small spoon of sugar
    1 1/2 small spoons of salt.
    1kg of muzzarela cheese
    1 can of tomato sauce.

    Preparing:

    First of, you'll need an big recipient. Mix the ferment with the sugar first, and keep mixing until the ferment melt. Then, add the oil, mix a little more, then add the milk. Keep mixing, and go addind the flouer while you're mixing. You'll need a strong arm for the next steps. Keep adding the flouer, and add the salt when the dough is half solid half liquid, and mixing until you get an a solid, nice and round dough (Until it no longer sticks on the fingers).

    Allow the dough to rest for 30mins or so (until it doubles size), and then cut in four, even, pieces. Roll then over flouer until they become nice pretty dough balls.

    When so, take four trays, and spread some oil on them. Then, open one dough ball in each one of the trays with your hands, until it gets flat, and even, an disk. Like an nice pizza, but without the cheese and the tomato sauce
    .

    Now's the fun part. Spread some tomato sauce over the pizzas, and them cover them with muzzarella slices, until they're fully covered in cheese. Now, you put whatever you would like to see in a pizza over, be it champignons, onions, eggs, corn, bacon.. Whatever you want. But use good sense, you're doing an fine piece of art, and so, don't throw anything over it, like fries or hamburgers. Sliced tomatoes would be nice though.

    Now, cook them in a stove until the cheese melts completely Keep watching it so you don't overcook, and burn your nice "painting".

    Any more recipies folks? Anything goes :P

    (btw, if u can't buy tomato sauce, i can teach how to do it. Anyone interested?)

  • Hehehe, I'm going to get the ingredients, find a metric weight converter, and try not to set fire to the kitchen :D. Btw, let us know how to make tomato sauce; I have some, but is it possible to make it from scratch? Lol, I miss out on so many good things when I buy everything at the nearest corporate grocery store :P. What else do you know? Is it also mouth-watering :]?

  • well... it is possible to make it from scratch, yes. And if u ask, it's even tastier.

    You'll need some more ingredients, such as more onions, garlic, oil, vinegar, parsley and of course, tomatoes.

    First of, stew sliced rings of onion and garlic in oil. Then, add some prickled tomato, and when the tomato pieces becomes soft, throw some vinegar, salt, parsley and more prickled onions.

    Mix it up a little bit, and it's done!

    PS: if u have some tomato extract left, throw it there too... it helps.

    Btw, if u want the pizza to taste like restaurant pizza, just add some sodium bicarbonate to the flouer.. but not much, just a little bit.

    What will happen is that the pizza will taste like that pizza you like to order at 3am, but after eating several slices, you'll still be hungry. Why that happens? So that you can order more and more pizza, until you becomes fat. And hungry. And the pizza companies, richier.

    trust me, that's how it works. I used to make those pizzas for a restaurant here.
