Ok, so, Marauder and I got together and matched up his weapon/console slots a bit more efficient and tried to team up on his next story mission. We set it up so I would play at his level because my Bob guy isn't fully tweaked out yet. Unfortunately we got separated, and we lost level sync and then entered the system. Well, it defaulted to my level... 50. So, the map spawned bad guys designed to challenge 2 level 50 players. Heehee, Poor Mara flew right at a pair of level 50 Mogai battleships and was vapourized. And when we hit the ground part, we both got our asses kicked by the Romulans. Then got our asses kicked on the way out.
This would be an excellent way to help new players get more loot of their own level. First, all team members must have the mission available on their Available mission screen or able to replay it on the Episode tab. This means that say Husker would not be able to help Marauder do Marauder's story missions as Husker has not reached that point yet. Hail Starfleet and Accept the mission. The low level player starts the team and invites the others. The other players choose to match the leader's level. Also, the team must travel to the system as a group. If you get separated too long, the level sync is lost and the difficulty will default at the highest player's level. More players equals more ships equals more loot. When Marauder and I did the mission, I just hit pass on the loot screen and he got all the lewts!
I'll volunteer to help you new guys thru your story missions and daily missions. Especially daily missions. My PvE/STF's don't take too long and lately been finding myself just standing around.
