Dear members of SWAT,
First off, I hope that you will find it in yourselves to forgive me for refusing to identify myself. I realize that this message will probably be treated with some scepticism since its writer is not willing to stake their reputation on what they have to say. Sadly, the nature of my request from you demands that I do not make use of my regular account.
I have been a member of this board for some time. I am now also a member of a collective mass of individuals on the internet known as Anonymous. Anonymous is currently involved in a campaign to dismantle the Church of Scientology in it's present form.
Our long range goals include:
1.) seeking the revocation of the CoS's tax-exempt status wherever it is enjoyed
2.) raising public awareness to the CoS's illegal and immoral practices
3.) assisting CoS members who wish to leave to do so
Why is Anonymous doing this? Simply put, this is our response to the CoS's cult like activities, such as 'disconnection' and suppression of critics through it's 'fair game' policy' (the reason that I can not reveal who I am), charging grossly large fees for people to be members of the CoS (or for that matter, even to learn about the CoS's core beliefs, and even then only after years of membership), forcing some of the female members of SeaOrg (the CoS's navy) to get abortions... the list just goes on and on.
I come before the people of this forum with this one request: please do what you can to spread the word of our campaign against the Church of Scientology, and assist us in any way possible if you wish, be it through simply producing/posting flyers, lobbying your local representatives, or taking more direct action in a protest outside of a CoS building. The next of these protests is scheduled for March 15, a date which some of you may be familiar with ; ).
