The term "Lance Weaponry" or simply "Lances" in Battlefleet Gothic Armada refers to a type of ship weaponry. Generally Lances are armor-piercing, long-ranged, always accurate (unless against holofields) weapons with a long range. Human lance weapons usually take the form of beam weapons. The best lances overall are considered to be used by Chaos, hence why Chaos mirror matches are likely to remind laser shows with all these beams flying around (assuming they both won't go all bomber spam). The drawbacks of these weapons is low damage output against void shields (remedied by the upgrade Disruption Overcharge), and a low rate of fire.
