Display MoreWith the recent accusations about GOG, some have asked: is there another way to buy Wing Commander games digitally? The answer is yes, but only some of the games. What was once called Origin and now... the EA App... maybe?... Electronic Arts' game platform isn't as well known as GOG or Steam but it does offer several Wing Commander games! You can purchase Wing Commander I through IV and Privateer from EA for $4.99 each; they have never listed Prophecy, Secret Ops, Academy, Armada or Privateer 2. A number of other Origin games are also available, including the Crusaders and much of the Ultima series. Unlike GOG, the games are sold individually and there are no 'free' releases. Note that there is a second entry for Wing Commander Privateer not listed below; it's not clear why! We're preserving all of the ephemera from the EA shop listings below, including the not-great AI-assisted screenshot descriptions.
Wing Commander™ I
Get ready to climb into the cockpit and defend the Terran Confederation from the predatory Kilrathi. As a member of the TCS Tiger’s Claw crew, you’ll be assigned increasingly difficult missions where your skill and reflexes will help you rise through the ranks of your flight wing. With experience (and a little luck) you may even lead the strike on the Kilrathi High Command star base itself.

Wing Commander™ IV: The Price of Freedom
The year is 2673, four years after the Treaty of Torgo and the end of the Kilrathi War. As hostilities died out, rebuilding what was lost or dealing with space piracy became the Terran Confederation’s biggest concerns. The peace is a fragile one, and all too soon violence erupts on the outskirts of the Confederation, forcing humanity to the brink of civil war. It’s up to you to stop it. The ensemble cast features Mark Hamill, John Rhys-Davies, Malcolm McDowell, and more.

Wing Commander™: Privateer
2669, Gemini Sector, Troy System — the Terran frontier between the Kilrathi Empire and the unknown. Here, in the far reaches of space, people live by their own rules. The fringes are populated by a volatile mix of pirates, miners, mercs, cutthroats, and Kilrathi, all struggling to make a life for themselves. You start with a rusted scout ship and a handful of credits in your pocket — the rest is up to you.
