Just to add to this that there are some issues with running CF on Vista with certain AV progs/Firewalls... disabling these will make no difference you need to totally remove your firewall and Use just the Vista firewall... another one of windows Vista incompatibilities.... lets hope they sorth this by the time windows 7 gets released.

There is no issue with running CF on Vista 64 i myself use Vista 64 Ultimate the only issue i get is my Firewall seems to block CF try a reinstall and make sure you remove everything to do with the original install from you program 32 folder also remove all from My Documents and your Temp folder.... you may have to go into your folder settings to show the hidden files.
