that sounds goodingame ships shouldnt be too detailed ... in fights you practically dont see that many details of shipsmaybe 20k polygons for a fighter60k for a cap ship
yes it uses triaglespractically every tool can as its the natural way how models are saved and used in gamesthe quads are just used to make things easier for model buildersthere must be the option to triangulate the model if you can export to 3ds or obj everything should b fine
I mean that the mesh needs a cockpit... something that we can put a glass texture on it 8 engines would be ok but not moreanimations are not done in milkshape at all ... same with lights and all that stuff ships can have 7 gun hardpoints... 1 turret... 1 mine, 1 countermeasure... up to 3 torps
importing the ship into ms3d works just fineexcept that the zip does not contain any textures... so i cant do further tests herei also have the impression that the uv mapping is not 100% mirrored which prevents me to use one of my textures atm
The 3d model works perfectly and from that point i practically could put it into FL.However, I think the texture needs some work before the next steps can be done. From the technical point of view everything is perfect.
Well, i just opened Milkshape and loaded your file. If you have a version with different materials and groups... then it would be better to use that one instead of just one group and one material. Milkshape can handle that.
