Torrents take longer anyways, just download it legally from the Windows 7 website, put it on a DVD, install it, and activate it with the product key they give you before you start the download process.

Or you could wait till tomorrow for the RC to be publicly released on the windows 7 website and download it there, you can also get a free product key from there.

I play CF 1.7 on Win 7 also. It works great! Win 7 also plays all my other games a lot better then XP or Vista.

You dont have to be either of those, there is no race limitations. You can be whatever you want, and have as many chars as you want. The only limit you have is the limits of your imagination.

Well I know from personal experiance that Mcafee is a major resource hog, and slows the comp down to a crawl. As for the spy emergency, I would personally not use anything that ends in "emergency 2008"

Ccleaner is just a temporary file cleaner, and registry cleaner, it wont do any good for viruses. My advice, get spybot search and destroy, its a great spyware remover, and is completely free. For a good AV you could try Avast, my 2 roomates use it and it seems to work great for them.

I have to agree with Gunny on that. There a LOT of people desperately waiting for CF 1.8 (Myself included) as well as many other Swat projects, and if modders here keep going to other portals to help them only to get backstabbed again for our help, then 1.8 will never get finished. As Gunny stated, its time we take care of our home.

It might have something to do with your zonealarm, a friend of mine irl had very similar problems when he used it, but the problems went away after he completely removed it. Apparently zonealarm has slight problems with a lot of online games, and frequently tries to stop them from playing correctly. Not sure if its the same in your case, but its something to look into.

I also just bought them on my fighter and ended up getting a CTD crash but only after attacking an NPC, it doesnt crash when its a human player it seems, but it does crash with NPC's. I removed the delibs and went back to my PPC's and havent gotten a CTD since.

Since I have never had a big problem with CF crashing on me except for crashes from my own stupidity, I'll get the Adv Deliberators and give them a test, if it crashes with me, then we all know there has to be something weird going on with them. XP

Agreed, I think the game has enough NPC's as it is. If there are too many then new players that starts out with bad rep with pirates and such (Before getting any bribes to help with rep) wont be able to get anywhere because they will keep getting killed. And, as Spiky said, they already interfere enough with PvP.

I too use 1024x768 res, and the only scroll bar I have is the vertical. If you remove that, then it will be very hard to read the forums, XP

Ive never experienced any problems with nav maps, or missing content, and ive been using the mod since version 1.53...ive even been able to use my old saves after installing CF, with no problems at all.

If you have an AV program, its very likely caused by the AV program thinking its a Trojan and quarantined it. Check your quarantined files and make sure to restore it, and whitelist/exclude it, then try activating it again.

I myself have shitty internet as it is. (Im sure a lot of people are already aware of this since I complain about it alot). As much as I would love to have higher quality sound, I would prefer to be able to download the mod sometime this year, and not next, Lol.
