I banish thee, Michael for your endorsement of Sephiroth! Don't get me wrong, he's a great antagonist, but waaay too OP'd, especially on Kingdom Hearts, lest you can outsmart him, and time his attacks right.

I'm betting it's because of the new features, and additions. To reach a level of quality that only CF brings to the table, means countless hours of understanding the mod's mechanics, core and modified. Then using said knowledge to create an FLMM addon for CF, assuming one has the knowledge of XML, and an understanding of the FL file hierarchy, supposing one should keep his INI entries in their own unique files.
Next is maintaining the lore, without breaking it. When you make a ship and hardware package, how does it tie in with the story?
Finally, keeping visual style within scope, the weapon and equipment design and effects must be of CF quality or slightly better. I'm assuming CF has enhanced graphics, yes?

I know, but it's still indev, I want to pitch to the Disco Admins a fully-functioning demo, if I am to have any hopes of featuring it, in a future update. I will keep the DLC up-to-date, but just so I don't lose progress every update, I'll put the additional content in their own tagged INIs. Like a bethesda bsa.
UPDATE: Should the Disco Admins reject my pitch, will you still consider this addon for Crossfire?

Ok, I have a lot to explain in very little time. GeoCalibur Industries, is a new R&D faction that give more power to even the most inexperienced player on the Disco Server, by providing new weapons, equipment, and ships. Ships? Yep, fury-class fighters, actually, combining the strengths of all three fighter classes, with the weaknesses of neither. The only factor that keeps them in check is not just a steep price tag, but requires unwavering loyalty to GeoCalibur. Your rep with them must be at least .91. Plus you must have an ID belonging to Liberty or Bretonian Militia or Officials. And they will surely put you down and out, if you are of Gallic or Rheinland favor. Kusari, I'm not so sure, they've yet to ally with either Gallia/Rheinland or Liberty/Bretonia. Kusari is currently dealing with internal affairs, a la Civil War.
But, I can't do this alone! I need shipwrights, are you one of them? Plus I need beta testers, can your PC take a whuppin?

I banish thee, for the enthusiasm of Starcraft, under the watchful authority of Nyerguds. "GET THAT STAR-CRAP OUTTA' MAH CnC!"

Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome.
Quick Question: On Crossfire's RP Server, what the Admin's policy on pitching Crossover Events? Cause I got a good one, and I might need adoxa's help with this, since it involves a new piece of hardware called the phase-jump module.
Apparently, one of the most hated (or loved, but iconic, either way) characters of Undertale, has invaded Sirius and is eradicating The Order's Top Guns. This character is known as Sans, and although he pilots the frailest light fighter, his loadout has a piece of internal equipment, called the phase-jumper. Orillion's lab boys, won't be able to crack that nut until later in the mission pack. However, this module enables Sans to teleport to his target, facing the rear-end of his enemy's vessel. This phenomenon occurs after disabling Sans shields, by any means.
I'd love to hear your possible strategies to overcome this short skeleton. I find the best strategy is to first find out if the phase-jump module uses weapon energy. SPOILER ALERT: it does. But is the jump instantaneous or does he only appear behind you after a few seconds? Either way, a split second before he jumps behind you, kill engines and spin your ship around. If you're lucky, you'll be looking straight at him. That's when you open fire!

Greetings Inklings, Octolings, and Humans of all shapes and sizes. My legal name is Nicholas Clark Manuel, but on the Internet, I go by TheN1K0L4Z. GeoCalibur, in the Starport.
The Avatar is my inksona, Sigma Skye. And he believes he can unite humanity, inklings, and octolings, against the Nomads, and the Wilds. He is Edison Trent's favorite apprentice, and surpasses Trent in every aspect of deep-space dogfighting. You know what they say, to master a trade, learn from your idols, relevant or otherwise.
I'm a big time Freelancer, primarily in Discovery 4.88.1, onward. I'm also an engineer/programmer for new hardware for all kinds of vessels. One day, I plan to design my own fighters as the ideal way to test my brand, GeoCalibur Industries Ltd.
Although, he is not in Disco, Dr. Solomon "StarBlade" Pendragon founded GeoCalibur in 822 A.S., but his first weapon was designed in 818 A.S., the Hardegga Photon Laser Gun. High refire rate, but not very strong, ideal for Light Fighter scouts, and beginning Freelancers.
With that intel disclosed, I bid you felicitations, and I plan to bring the GeoCalibur Discovery Addon Pack, exclusively to the SWAT-Portal.

Thanks for the simple rundown SWAT, and about me borking my savegame, that's no problem, I made a copy of the DS 4.88.1 Instance. It's a SP-exclusive directory called "Discovery Freelancer 4.88.1-N1". Placed in the same directory as the original, in the Local AppData folder. That way, I won't risk banishment from the RP Server, should I switch to the original.
And in any case my saved games do "get dunked on", I have a Save Editor handy to make backups and rollback tweaks.
UPDATE: I overhauled the power equipment into its own INI: power_equip.ini. Next thing I did was create power_good.ini to make the powerplant sell listings. Left the name and info ids intact, That will be the case until I create my own powerplants. Speaking of which I have some idea for what the ZEUS LF Powerplant will be:
Code- [Power]
- nickname = gci_elitelf_power01
- ids_name = TBD
- ids_info = TBD
- DA_archetype = equipment\models\hardware\li_fusion_reactor.3db
- material_library = equipment\models\hardware.mat
- mass = 10
- volume = 0.0000000
- capacity = 10000
- charge_rate = 1250
- thrust = 1000
- thrust_charge_rate = 100
- lootable = false
- ; TBD means I have plans to make the codes and text for both name and intel. The info will contain a warning in bold print.
-
Ok, this may turn out to be an overhaul, but I want internal equipment to be bought and sold, especially the power modules, despite being internal. But to do this, I need to make them visible in the Dealership. How is this possible?
Btw, I'm creating a new Power generator, to test out this trope: The ZEUS Powerplant. This is a reference to the MK4 ZEUS Architecture developed for the Arcade version, the one processor that generated 1.2M+ Polys.

If this serves as a necrobump, forgive me.
Anyone got a chart with REASONABLE net worth values for up to lv 81? I choose this number to match Skyrims level cap.
What I'm trying to do is find the f(x), in the vanilla leveling, and extend on that to match the leveling.
