minor Inconsistent Ship Top Speed

I've experienced the max speed of the ship dropping during battle on several ships, with different thrusters fitted (currently a rapier with advanced thruster in Crossfire Chapter 2). I'm currently getting ~200 max thruster speed, and 80 with basic engine. In combat this sometimes drops to 60 basic engine and 160 with thruster, leaving me a sitting duck in battle. I've searched the wiki for info, but not found anything that should be causing this, so not sure what's going on.

  • It happens in various places, but I haven't noticed any particular pattern to where. Is this intentional in certain areas? I looked through the all the info I could find, but couldn't see anything suggesting it was.
