attempted to go in game. launcher is showing 42 files to download. previously it was 41 after my last session yesterday. the launcher is suddenly crashing back to desktop each time of launch. its doing it at different stages of launching. has the extra file causing this ???. had no problems till today. had 8 attempts all failing.

fair enough there op but is hitting all players must be something to do with the cheat protection as they were all getting kicked off repeatedly with that message.
HOWEVER PROBLEM HAS SORTED ITSELF OUT. WOULD SEEM IT WAS CAUSED BY A NEWBIE. IT STARTED WHEN HE CAME ON AND STOPPED WHEN HE LOGGED OFF AFTER A REQUEST FROM ANOTHER CLAN MEMBER. HE WAS ADVISED HE NEEDS TOLOOK AT HIS INSTALMENT.

the thing is... I did not do any changes to the files that are downloaded
the additional file is something I can therefore not explain unless you have been switching between singleplayer and multiplayer
Cheat kicks based on the market files in theory can happen but should not happen in the middle of the day. It would be something that might happen shortly after the daily server restart but not later that day. Maybe huor did changes... dunno. I for sure was not doing anything on the server that could have caused that behaviour.
However, the server automatically does fix such issues within 30mins. Something which probably happened yesterday.

I didnt made any changes at all regarding the launcher. It could happen that there are fewer files which were detected to be not synchronized with the server, which is why the number of files downloaded might be different between the days. It's hard to imagine a file being out of sync within a day unless one of the files has been manually changed (or possibly caused by an antivir tool).
