Complete Nuewbie Tutorial

    Does an end-to-end tutorial and beginner's guide exist somewhere, and if so--where?


    I've been away from FL for nearly ten years but retired and now have time to bring it up on kubuntu and play. But now I need full and complete guidance--what fiels, where to get them, how to install, use the launcher or proton, which mods are fun, etc. Where to do I start looking for answers?

    here is a very good guide for freelancer on linux:

    its for a different mod (Freelancer Discovery) but you can alter it for Crossfire.

    Discovery: Big, massive multiplayer, multiplayer ONLY, vanilla like experience but with more content, new systems, ships etc.

    Crossfire: More like Freelancer 2, advanced graphics, many new systems and also new sectors, much to explore, own singleplayer campain & Multiplayer server, many ships ... etc.


    I would of course recommend crossfire :P:king

    Ah i totally forgot this guide. It works both, with proton / steamdeck and with lutris. Lutris is easier so I would totally use Lutris :).
