Question / Suggestion regarding exploration

    is there any possibility to explore all star systems of this beautiful mod without beeing hostile to any faction even Nomads?


    I remember when activating older versions of the Discovery mod via the mod manager you had an option to set all factions to 'friendly' terms for open singleplayer. Perhaps this would be an idea for Crossfire 2.0 too? Because i think not everybody likes to fight strong enemies all the time just wanting to actually see those systems ;)

  • Crossfire don't tend to copy stuff from other mods, but there are several solutions to your wish of exploring all systems without being in danger of the powerful alien races, (nomads are the weakest ones...).


    1. Go into godmode, cheat your health.
    2. If you decide to play only singleplayer, then you can block Crossfire's access to the internet, and add a singleplaye console (found here on the portal) with which you can do "rep = 1 " and everyone will be fully green with you.

  • Version: if it's SP, find your save game and manually set all reputations to 1.

  • That can get a bit too messy if you don't know anything about Freelancer code.


    You could use a Freelancer Save File editor tool though, to have a better understanding of the stuff in there :D

  • Yeah, FL save editor helped me to get to the Lost Battlestar (Admin base) in Discovery :)

  • At least just the aspect of it, but it would still move as fast as your previous ship, with same engine colors and such, right ? :P

  • And then are the rest of the aliens, editing the save game is an easier way for him to explore in the peaceful way he wants :D
