"Engelsaugen" or "Augen eines Engels"
Scheinwerfer die bei BMW verbaut sind. Front lights of a BMW are called Angel's eyes
this a fake made for Acura
lol OP
but in the case of this question i would say
Angel's Eyes ~ des/der Engel's Augen
Angel eyes ~ Engelsaugen
Well, actually it's "Angels' Eyes" (notice the -> ' <- thingy after the "s" cos it's a plural (as if I remember which was plural and which - singular :D)
So I guess in german it's "Engelsaugen" (copied from the previous post, no typo refund from me :D)
Yes, magnet, you're of course right. and if you check back in the thread Engelsaugen is pretty exactly what i already posted in the first reply in this thread.
But then again, I AM SO BLOODY USED TO BEING RIGHT BUT NOBODY IS EVEN FRIGGIN' CONSIDERING TO LISTEN TO WHAT I HAVE TO SAY i'd be very surprised if it were different this time.
and screw eventual typos, too
@OP: this is the exactly use of Angel's eyes I'm pretending to use
@Abras and magnet: I said Angel's eyes, not Angels' eyes, which means it's referring to the singular (the eyes of the angel, not the eyes of the angels).
@lucy: I care with what you say
well, I knew the translation of the angel and the eyes, but not of the damn "'s"...
anyways, in which cases the words are "united", and what's the correct translation, considering what I wrote above???
(hmmm, to every1, i abandoned to "hunt" Maiara. definetely a lost battle. so, i'm going towards a blue eyes' blonde... heh... but I think my translation request doesn't have relation with her... until now [11])

thats exactly what i said
the angels eyes ~ des engels augen (singular) or der engels augen (plural)
the german grammar isnt the easiest one on earth

did i miss something? .. do you know my wife?
lol
but you are right
well the 's is used to describe the 2nd case (genitiv) - same like in german. So finally its "Des Engels Augen". Often its used to describe for the possesions in singular. In plural its depending on the word that is used. So using a word like Angel where the plural would be Angels then its Angels' eyes. But that was not requested
Translation would then be: des Engels Augen
And back to german. I hate to see that we use the thing from the english language to drop a 's at the end of the words for the 2nd case (genitiv). One thing that our languagle doesnt need -> http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostrophitis
gotta keep teh language clean, yeah! (spelling & shit intended)
but in reality I REALLY hate it when ppl use there or they're instead of their; you're instead of your; then instead of than etc (not to mention inproper use of apostrophes). I'm sure everyone has encountered that.
What bugs me the most is that even ppl with english as their native language (people NOT like me, for example) don't use it properly Shame on you, ppl who speak english from birth, but know it worse than a 15y.o. kid from a friggin ex-soviet country!!
btw here's Huor's link in english: [linky]
rofl @ magnet
btw, thx everyone who posted here
maybe someday i'll revive the topic to post another question, or any OT stuff
