Display More2021 has many highly-anticipated video games releasing during the year, and while several have seen significant delays in development, some are sure to see their expected light of day. One such major release is Mass Effect Legendary Edition, with the remastered original trilogy coming at a perfect time for Mass Effect fans to replay the classic three games before the new entry in the franchise arrives. Now, it has been confirmed that the remastered trilogy has officially gone gold, ensuring that it will meet its expected release date next month.

As reported by Game Informer, Mass Effect Legendary Edition project director Mac Walters recently made the important announcement on his official Twitter account. In the tweet, Walters confirmed the project has officially gone gold, meaning it will definitely meet its scheduled May launch date. Walters also included a gif of the female Commander Shepard dancing alongside other Mass Effect characters from the original trilogy.
After several games in 2021 have required extended development times due to the difficulties of working remotely from home this past year, some fans may have been worried about Mass Effect Legendary Edition seeing a delay. While this project revolves around pre-existing games, the remaster is not without new changes and improvements, not to mention the inclusion of nearly all the major DLC expansions for the original trilogy. Thankfully, the hard work from everyone at BioWare may very well pay off, as the world will get to enjoy this return to the Mass Effect trilogy very soon. It’s so beautiful, I could kiss a Turian with tongue!
