Welcome to the Freelancer Ini Editor
=============================

First of all I would like to thank all the people posting threads to
www.lancersreactor.com. Without them I would have been sitting a
much longer time at this tool.
GREAT WORK !!!

Second - if you use this tool, please backup your Freelancer data. To do this you
should open the Freelancer directory and point you explorer to the \data directory
under it. copy now all the .ini files into another new folder.

WHAT THIS TOOL DOES:
=============================
- it decrypts the inis
- it changes the values without a need for you to edit the ini manualy
- it copies the UNENCRYPTED Ini Files back to its original path
- it makes a copy of the changed files and stores them in the tools directory
  under  \data
  -> so you finaly can copy this directory-structure to anotherones freelancer
     data directory. You dont have to do this manualy then

WHAT THIS TOOL DOESNT:
=============================

- it doesnt saves the original .ini files which it founds
  --> You can do this manualy under the OPTION - BACKUP within the program
- it doesnt check the values you enter !!!! If you srew up your ship -> its your problem
- it doesnt check whether the changes you made destroy the fun in the game !!!!!
- it can't export the settings into a FLMM format till now !
  --> but maybe someone likes to assist me in this ??

HOW TO USE:
=============================
The tool is now launched.
1.) When you read this text carefully, press the READ & UNDERSTOOD button
     below
2.) Press the OPEN Button (which should be the second one with the folder image)
    You can use this button always if you like to reload the values from the ini files
3.) Edit the Values in any section you like, but be carful not to change too much ;-)
4.) Save the Values everytime you leave a section, otherwise the changes will be
    discarded. (Takes affect if you change a ship)
5.) Close the program and try to fly in FL ;-)

ERRORS and SOLUTIONS:
=============================
If any error occures ty theese steps first !!
1.) check if this tool is in a directory for its own.
2.) in this directory MUST exist following files : Bini.exe, Resources.ini
     => Bini.exe could be somewhere else but its not recommended)
3.) this directory MUST NOT be write protected. It must be full accessible
4.) If the program starts up, you have to READ CAREFULLY the dialog boxes
     Maybe you close the program because you dont read

If the error still occurs do the following:
1.) Write down WHEN the error occurs (while starting, closing, pressing a button)
2.) Send me an email to JOGHTHYRN@gmx.net
     Write me the things you wrote down. !
                                                  !!!AND !!!!
     Include a file into the mail. This file is called "DebugOut._[something].mjf" and
     stays in the same directory as the tool.
     Without this file I can nearly do nothing ! so dont miss it ;-)

FINALY
