The Asgard22-Weapons Excel spreadsheet is a fairly comprehensive listing of the guns, turrets, missiles, torpedos, and cruise disruptors available in Asgard 2.2.

ABOUT ASGARD'S WEAPONS
Asgard 2.2 is a multiplayer Freelancer mod (see http://www.gamer-forums.com/asgard).
Asgard extends the standard Freelancer weapons with many custom guns, some faction-specific; there are over 320 weapons players can mount and an additional 250+ others (used on stations, platforms, miscellaneous non-pilotable ships, and some pilotable capital ships).
There are new "standard" ranges, refire rates, and relative damages (for example, hull-killer guns and a cruise disruptor that also causes significant shield damage).
Remembering information about all of these weapons can be difficult for a player, which is where the Asgard Weapons spreadsheet comes in. We extracted all of the standard data on Asgard weapons and tabulated it into a multi-worksheet spreadsheet for easy reference. Below are some notes about it.

HOW TO READ THE SPREADSHEET
Before we get into the goodies:
To open and view the data in the spreadsheet, you need to have Microsoft Excel or the Excel viewer installed. The free Excel viewer is available from XXXXXXXX. Other spreadsheet programs may be able to open and view the data as well. Just double-click Asgard22-Weapons.xls or open it from your spreadsheet program to view it.
If you do not have Excel or another spreadsheet program or the viewer and have no desire to install anything special to allow viewing the spreadsheet, you may be interested in the HTML version instead; to run that version, double-click Asgard22-Weapons.htm to open it in your default browser. It works in Mozilla 1.5 and Internet Explorer 6, although IE may give you warnings about it blocking active content. Even if you choose not to allow active content, it is still perfectly viewable; the only change is in the style of tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet.
The web version roughly follows the spreadsheet form; control over filtering and display which is possible in Excel, however, is not possible in the HTML version.

HOW THE SPREADSHEET IS ORGANIZED

The 4 Sheets

Guns: These are Asgard weapons that mount on standard gun hardpoints.

Turrets: Weapons that mount on turret hardpoints.

Torpedo-CD: Weapons that mount in torpedo/cruise disruptor slots (typically a torpedo slot is also a cruise disruptor slot, and vice-versa).

Special: These are weapons that don't fit into any standard mountable slot. They show a level of "0", and most are not available for player ships. There are exceptions such as the Elder Forward Gun. Most of these won't be of much interest to players; in any case, you cannot just go out and buy these guns by themselves.

Each sheet is sorted by level (descending) and then by weapon display name (ascending).

THE WEAPON DATA
There are several pieces of information tabulated for each weapon. Some will be familiar, but a few may be hard to understand just by looking at the column names. Scratch that: a few will be IMPOSSIBLE to understand. I made up names for the last 5 "special" values, so they need some explanation.

DisplayName:
This is just the display name of the weapon, as shown in your inventory. For example, the "Wrath of Gabriel" is one of the weapon display names.

Faction:
Some of the weapons of Asgard belong specifically to factions. If a gun is faction-specific, the faction to which it belongs is marked in this column.
A few factions license guns under specific circumstances, but it's rare.

Level:
Weapon level, showing the slot level this weapon must be mounted in. The Wrath of Gabriel is a level 10, so it shows 10 in this column.

Energy:
If this gun is fired once, it will draw this much energy from your power reserves. This is the standard energy usage shown in-game. For the Wrath of Gabriel, this is 148 energy points.

Velocity:
The speed of the weapon "bullet" (technically, all weapons in Asgard use "bullets"; some just don't need ammo purchased). The Wrath has a speed of 700m/s.

Hull Damage:
Assuming you fire a single shot and it hits someone's hull, this is the damage it causes. For the Gabriel, it is 1185 points.

Shield Damage:
Assuming you fire a single shot and it hits someone's shield, this is the damage it causes. For the Gabriel, it is 60.5 points. This is obviously a hull-killer gun.

Range:
How far the weapon shoots. For the Gabriel, this is 875 meters.

Refire:
Number of shots the weapon can fire per second. This is the refire rate shown in-game; for the Gabriel it is 4.

Although they stopped there with in-game display of weapon info, there are actually some more items which are useful to know, and can be calculated from the other information we have. You don't care about the damage caused by a single shot necessarily; what is more interesting is how fast you can pour out the damage to hull or shield. THe same goes for energy. You don't care about the energy use of a single shot as much as the energy used during continuous fire, and if you're limited on energy available you may be interested in how efficient a gun is: how much damage it does for each energy point used.

Rates:
The parameters E/T, H/T, S/T are all "rates" for continuous fire.
E/T: Energy used per second if firing continuously. The Gabriel used 592 points - not a lightweight at all.
H/T: Hull damage per second if you're continually hitting. The Gabriel can cause 4740 damage to a hull per second.
S/T: Shield damage per second if you're continually hitting. The Gabriel can cause 242 damage to a hull per second. Although better than a Justice 3, this is still obviously a hull-killer gun.

Efficiencies:
Efficiency tells you how much damage is caused per point of energy expended. I've had to make allowances for the fact that some weapons use no energy; for those, I show 9999999 for the efficiency.
H/E: Hull damage points from a hit for each point of energy used. For the Gabriel, this is 8.01 damage per unit of energy.
S/E: Shield damage points from a hit for each point of energy used. For the Gabriel, this is 0.41 damage per unit of energy.
