Description
The Coalition sleepers who arrived in Sovetskaya realized that Murmansk could not be their home unless its massive gravity was reduced somehow. In typical Coalition fashion, a colossal mining operation was begun, using the massive Borodin ion gun, eventually removing the entire metallic core from the planet. All this material was required to build the hypergates, Dark Reign ion cannons and the giant Coalition Fleet.
It is still the Coalition's main source of all kinds of metal in numerous mining operations spread all over the planet. With gravitation now bearable and an - almost - breathable atmosphere several agricultural trial camps are established to counter the Coalition biggest needs : food and living space. For "mediation" of volunteers, regardless their origin the Murmansk administration is willing to pay some generous bonus.
